An IEP Director is located physically and strategically in Kununurra to ensure synergy and consistent approach to secondees. The IEP Director will travel around the region to seek projects for secondees. This will build networks for IEP and support organisations working together on similar projects that add value to the region's people.
IEP, with Wunan assistance, already has the following projects in mind:
- Kimberley Group Training (KGT)
- MG Corporation
- Better Life Project (Halls Creek)
- Halls Creek Sport and Community association
There is the opportunity for secondees to work in several remote communities including Kununurra Halls Creek, and Wyndham.
Wunan already has strong links in the business sector:
- Argyle Diamond Mines
- Kimberley Nickel
- SWEEK
- Leighton Contractors
- Network of small to medium locally owned business
Wunan can facilitate IEP working with all Indigenous organisations and communities in the East Kimberley region.
