Michael Andrew was appointed Australian Chairman of KPMG from 1
July 2007 having previously served five years as Chairman of KPMG's
Victorian Practice. He is a member of KPMG's International and Asia/Pacific
Boards, on its Global Risk and Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
Michael is a graduate of Melbourne University where he completed
a combined Law and Commerce Degree; he is a qualified Barrister
and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and a Fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Michael is a Vice Chairman of the Committee for Melbourne
and Treasurer of the Melbourne Cricket Club and a Committee Member
of Melbourne Racing Club.
He is Chairman the Dowd Foundation, a Council member of AbaF,
the Olivia Newton John Cancer Centre Appeal and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
He is Chairman of the National Sports Museum Advisory Board and an
ambassador for the Melbourne Community Foundation.
As a member of the Business Council he is a delegate of its Education, Indigenous
& Business Reform Working Groups.
Michael accepted the position as a Director of the Board of Indigenous Enterprise
Partnerships in early 2009.
He is involved with corporate governance, strategy and risk management advice.
