Welcome

Text Box: Text Box: Welcome to our second Jawun Update!

We were thrilled with your enthusiastic response to our first edition expressing a keen interest to connect in with our initiatives. The opportunity is now here for you to become an active participant.

With the Alumni group consisting of over 500 talented individuals we have a vast range of expertise and knowledge to draw on. Our aim is to utilise the skills and experience that you each bring to continue to support the ambitions of our partner Indigenous organisations.

In our first edition we highlighted some key areas for involvement. One of these was the potential opportunity to partner with Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME). The other, a partnership with Tranby Aboriginal College. Tranby provides students with the opportunity to undertake Certificate and Diploma level courses, designed to empower Indigenous people and their communities. Further details on both partnerships are provided in this edition with a clear call to action.

Currently there are employees from Wesfarmers, Leighton Contractors, John Holland and NAB on secondment in East Kimberley and Redfern. We look forward to welcoming our new Alumni members and capturing their thoughts and experiences in our next edition.

This newsletter is designed to keep you informed of where we are at and what is coming up. Most importantly we want to extend the opportunity for you to get involved and expand your experience.

Please take advantage of this opportunity. We encourage you to interact with us, provide relevant feedback and ideas as well as sharing stories about your secondment experience.

To do so, please get in touch with the Alumni team at: alumni@iep.net.au
